AQUARIUM FOR KIDS

Things needed:
Blue handmade paper
Plastic leaves of different shapes and sizes
Sand (sieved thoroughly to remove stones and dust)
Stickers of different types of fishes and other aquatic animals
Sea shells
White glue
Scissors

First let us make the base for our aquarium, here I have used half of the handmade paper, you can use it accordingly to your wish.
Apply the white glue at the bottom of the handmade paper and sprinkle sand over it. Now get ready to plant your aquarium plants wherever you want. Use the glue and stick the plastic leaves on the handmade paper. Hold it firmly so that it dries and stick to the paper.
Put some glue on the sand and stick the seashells randomly to it.
Now its time to put your water animals in the aquarium. Stick the fishes, seahorses, octopuses and other water animals with white glue. You can alse use, blue thermocol balls cut into half and stick it above the fishes to give the bubbles effect.

ANTHURIUM Pencil Shading Art

We have started our first pencil art right from the first time when we learnt to hold the pencils. Pencil drawings project the beauty of black and white and take us back to our childhood days. Drawings can be a very good outlet for stress and you can experience yourself very relaxing and refreshing. I like to draw something whenever I need a peace of mind and it really helps me a lot...
Pencil shading art needs quite concentration, time and a very keen observing power. Though I am not a keen observer, I try and enjoy drawing. Here's one of my such artwork, which really took a very short span of time yet the output was good..:-))

CHRISTMAS COLLAGE FOR KIDS

Christmas is a time to celebrate the birthday of Jesus. Help your children to celebrate the season with a wonderful craft activity using simple things available in your home. Engaging kids with craft work make them more imaginative and creative. Here is a overall collage done by one of my student in Pre.k.g.

Things needed :

Whole Black chart
Construction papers in different colours
Water colour
Cotton
Felt cloth in red and white colour
Glitters
Paint brush
Glue
Googly eyes
Scissors
Old toothbrush
Zig zag scissors

Preparations:

Draw an outline of snowy land, dilute white water colour and keep it ready for spraying, use construction papers to cut the pieces of Christmas tree, elves, gifts and houses, cut the felt sheets to make a Christmas cap.
Now get ready to make the collage.

Apply glue inside the outline and make your child stick cotton to it.
Stick the construction papers to make Christmas tree, elves, house and gifts.
Paint your child's palm in white and keep the impression on the chart to look like as Santa's beard.
Wash the hands and paint it brown to make a reindeer.
Now let it dry for few minutes, paste the felt pieces for Santa's cap, stick googly eyes and make a finger print to resemble as his nose and pink fingerprint for his cheeks.
Now keep fingerprints to complete the reindeer.
Use glitters to decorate the gifts.
Dip the toothbrush into the diluted white water colour and spray it throughout the chart to make the snow effect.
Use the paintbrush to draw moon, stars, reindeer's horn and entrance for the houses.
Allow it to dry, now your Christmas collage is ready to be framed.

Tip:
You can also use cotton to make igloos and snow man.
